The Company

Dorey Media is a Surrey based web design company that specialises in the development of beautiful, accessible, functional and above all effective web sites for business and charitable organisations. Dorey Media was formed in 2009 by David Dorey (Creative) and Zaher Al-Sibai (Development) following the sale of our previous company Xsession.Com to Namesco.

Dorey Media is a full service digital media agency. We have in-house skills and experience to provide a complete and fully rounded digital media project, from strategy and market intelligence including competitor analysis, through professional web design, content management systems, seo expert services and ecommerce to the ongoing administration and organic growth promotion of online communities.

The People

David Dorey - has twenty years experience with graphic user interface design and development. and is an editor of the Open Directory Project www.dmoz.org, a voting Member of Nominet, the governing body for the .UK name space  and a member of the Usability Professionals Association.  Dave's graphics career started in 1989 when he co-founded the Studio BBS a specialist CAD, 3D Modelling and image stock library and resource for graphics professionals. Dave was also a founding director of Xsession.com, a successful and well respected UK ISP specialising in Microsoft web hosting services and domain name registration. Dave has also worked for the multinational Saad Group of companies in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Switzerland and London founding and managing Saad's web development department, web infrastructure, domain name acquisition and portfolio, external web development project management and developing web sites for the entire group of companies. Dave has managed many web and application development projects over the last decade and looks forward to applying his experience to your project.

Zaher Al-Sibai - is a world class application developer with twenty years experience developing applications as varied as secure hospital patient records systems and power production management systems for a national electricity board to email systems for Xsession.Com that routed and scanned well over 50 million email messages a month, hosted 3500+ websites and managed the purchase, renewal and DNS for tens of thousands of domain names.

How We Work

Zaher and Dave have over the last ten years formed a very close and effective working team, our skills complement each other well, Dave manages our projects and designs the user interface, experience, seo and market intelligence products, Zaher writes bullet proof code and makes our designs and ideas work. While we have previously been focused on bespoke applications for corporate clients, primarily using Microsoft .net and SQL technology we have grown to embrace Open Source projects. We are particularly impressed with the open source Joomla! content management system which we feel provides our customers with a superb framework on which we can build exceptional websites.
